Biography

Stephan Rogalla medical school and received his doctoral degree at the famous German Humboldt-University in Berlin on their medical faculty Charité. Parallel to staring his residency in the surgical department of the Charité he started cancer research in 2004 mostly on the influence of anti-angiogenic substances on malignant melanoma, colorectal cancer and pediatric cancer. In 2010 he started his residency in the department of gastroenterology and endoscopy at Charité with rotations in hematology and oncology. Since fall 2012 he is working at the medical school of the Stanford University, CA. His recent focus lays on the development of new molecular biological imaging probes and technical devices to improve the quality of early diagnosis in cancer of the GI-tract as well as the guided resection medulloblastoma. Moreover he is working on biomarker detection for IBD. He is a member of the ASCO, AACR, WMIS and ESMI and presents his data in international conferences and papers.
